The time I got in a fist fight with a ghost.

In 2020 I got into an altercation with a ghost. I almost went to jail.

In 2020 I was staying at the Jerome Grand Hotel. Upon arrival I was warned of the significant history of the beautiful hotel. Built in 1926 and opening in 1927 the crew around Jerome were a rough miner crowd. Occasionally they would blow things up. Buildings shifted, people got injured, and precious metals were recovered. Now this 30,000 square foot gem is a hotel. When I arrived I was greeted by a man at the counter named Claude. He gave me my room keys and showed me to the Otis elevator. Once inside a wonderful woman named Gurthie pushed the elevator button to the third floor. As we rose up to the third floor she told me amazing stories of the hotel and its history almost as if she had lived through it. I was amazed at how Intune she really was. I stepped off the elevator, thanked her, and headed towards my room. As I stepped into the Grand Suite I felt this overwhelming connection to history and interestingly a scalpel. I looked around and got settled. I then headed out to eat at the Haunted Hamburger and the food was exceptional. Upon my return to the hotel I met a guy named Steve. He identified himself as the night auditor and I told him how wonderful the staff was, Claude, Gurthie, and the in house nurse. He looked at me kind of puzzled and agreed. I preceded to head back up to my room for the night for a well deserved rest. As I entered my room I felt something smack me… Well that was interesting. Surely I was alone. Out of nowhere a second smack hit me. I immediately threw a punch at air and connected with something in the dark. I immediately ran out of my room and to the lobby calling the police. Upon their arrival Mark the local officer told me if the person I hit had any visible injuries I would be arrested. Upon completion of his investigation it came to light that I had actually been walking the spirit plane of the Jerome Grand Hotel all day and that I could not be charged as the victim had no visible injuries. With hesitation in one hand and Steve in the other we returned to the Grand Suite and he assured me I would be safe. As he walked out he uttered over his shoulder a stern “Leave her alone…” I crawled into bed for the night and slept well. The only odd thing that happened the rest of the night was a weird flickering light coming from the beautiful lounge in the Grand Suite that seemed to be very similar to a surgeons light. How bizarre.
